We are still lesbians

In case you missed it, last week the court in Athens ruled that gay women are still allowed to call themselves lesbians. Whooo! Aren’t you relieved? I know I am!

Three disgruntled inhabitants from the Greek island of Lesbos had filed a complaint against lesbians using the term lesbian, because it is supposed to only be used to describe people living on the island.

They argued that the use of the term by gay women insulted their identity. I think it is totally ridiculous, and I cannot believe they were even allowed to go to court with this.
