TV Shows I’m watching right now

These days I hardly watch any TV on my actual television, even though I only recently bought a new digital receiver. Things is, I am so used to watching TV series either on DVD or by downloading them, that the “normal” way is kind of a drag.

Instead of being able to watch an entire episode at once, you get all the annoying commercial breaks. Then when you are finally done with one episode, you have to wait another week for the next one.

More importantly, most shows on television are months (if not seasons) behind on the episodes that are airing in the United States, so I much rather just download them. I even watch whole episodes on You Tube.

So what am I watching?

I’m watching Skins and Los hombres de Paco, mainly because I am recapping them for eurOut. Even though I have to admit, I’ve started to quite enjoy these shows, especially Skins.
For a teen show, Skins is actually pretty good and the storyline between Emily and Naomi has been done very well. It is a pleasure to watch these two teenage girls explore their feelings for one another.

Los hombres de Paco, on the other hand, is more a weird dramary that is a fun watch, but also kind of complicated. I’m not sure if that’s because my Spanish sucks or because it’s just really vague and weird. Probably both.

Dollhouse – I’m loving it. Well, I’m a little behind, but yeah, I like it. It is like Alias only with memory loss and a hotter chick (i.e., Eliza). I’m curious to see where they are going to go with the story. I guess all that memory erasing is going to go wrong or something.

Rachel Maddow – I don’t really care much for American politics, but Rachel Maddow makes it almost interesting. Yes, I am one of those many suckers who has joined the mass Rachel Maddow obsession.

Six Feet Under – This has always been one of my favourite shows, and since I own all seasons on DVD, I decided it was about time I rewatch it. I’m almost at the end of the second season. So three more seasons to go.

CSI/NCIS/Bones/Numbers/Coldcase - Whenever I do watch regular television, it is usually crime shows that I watch. I like almost all of them, and I don’t really care for the order I watch them in or even watch season.

Because let’s be honest, you can watch any of the many CSI shows and every single episode could’ve taken place on any of these shows, in any of the seasons. Ok maybe that’s just how I see it. It’s fun easy entertainment, and after 45 minutes the crime is solved.
Shows I should be watching, but aren’t: Battlestar Galactica (I’m waiting for Season 4 to come out on DVD and then I’m going to marathon it), Grey’s Anatomy (I used to be a big fan, until everything went down hill in Season 4, followed by the whole Callica fiasco) and Fringe (I started, then forgot to keep watching for some unknown reason).

Watch are you watching? Anything I am missing out on?

This resembles my viewing list a lot, and just for the record, I too prefer to watch the episodes without "breaks", that's why I tape most of them to watch them with fast forwarding.

Criminal Minds is pretty good too, though I didn't like the last episodes so much, they were too violent for my taste.

Bones is just great, and what about NCIS?

I don't mind violence much. To be honest, most of these crimeshows are the same to me. I love them all, but one doesn't really stand out above the other.

I don't really get Bones. I tried, but I don't get it. It's too perky, I think. Plus I can't see David B. as anything but Angel.
